Privacy is dead

Today I want to share a very interesting video with you.
It is the presentation of Steve Rambam on the H.O.P.E. (Hackers on the planet earth - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackers_on_Planet_Earth) conference.
The video is almost 2 hours. Steve speaks about privacy on the Internet (rather about the lack of it) and how information about us is used.
Steve points out that we ourselves give corporations all the information about us when we use google, google maps, facebook, and other services.
Unfortunately, I can't upload this video, so I just give you the link.
The video itself - http://vimeo.com/13644580
Enjoy it!

What is Supply Chain Management?

This is the first of 12 videos in which W. P. Carey School of Business and its department of supply chain management try to describe what the supply chain management is for people who don't know anything about it. I found these series of videos quite interesting and wanted to share them with you.
Hope you enjoy it!

P.S. Here you can find all the videos: http://wpcarey.asu.edu/supply-chain-management/undergraduate/videos.cfm

Safety in the Internet

As you may know, Sony has recently had some really big issues with its online gaming service for Playstation - Playstation Network. Basically, the service was hacked and it was down for about a week. First days Sony claimed that it was just a maintaining works but later they announced that their network has been hacked and 77 million accounts with full information about their owners were stolen. Those accounts also included credit cards information. There were 12.7 million of redit cards registered on PSN.
I think that this issue shows us how far we are now from safe Internet and full integration of e-commerce in our lives.
Just think about it. Some guys hacked such a big system as PSN. They were able to steal all the information and Sony could do nothing about it. It shows that such hacking is possible. Now ask yourself - Do you feel safe in the Internet?
